How To Make Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients: – 4 large bell peppers (any color) – 1 pound ground beef (or turkey) – 1 cup cooked rice – 1 small onion, finely chopped – 2 cloves garlic, minced – 1 cup tomato sauce – 1 teaspoon dried oregano – 1 teaspoon dried basil – Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Meanwhile, wash the bell peppers and cut off the tops. Remove the seeds and membranes from inside the peppers.

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef (or turkey) until it's browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat. 

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the cooked meat. Sauté for a few minutes until the onion is soft and translucent. 

Stir in the cooked rice, tomato sauce, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well and let it simmer for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Place the hollowed-out bell peppers in a baking dish. Carefully spoon the meat and rice mixture into each pepper until they are filled to the top.

Sprinkle shredded cheese over the tops of the stuffed peppers, covering them evenly.

over the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Once done, remove the stuffed peppers from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
