Meat Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients: – 8 ounces Italian sausage links, casings removed – 8 ounces ground beef – 1 teaspoon chopped garlic – ½ teaspoon kosher salt – 6 cups marinara sauce (such as Rao's) – 8 ounces ricotta cheese – 8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature – 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese – 8 fresh or no-boil lasagna sheet – 1 cup fresh basil leave

Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Lightly spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

In a pan over medium-high heat, cook the Italian sausage, ground beef, chopped garlic, and kosher salt until the meat is browned, about 8-10 minutes.

Transfer the cooked meat to a medium bowl using a slotted spoon. Add the marinara sauce to the bowl and stir to combine. Set aside.

In a large zip-top bag, combine the ricotta cheese, cream cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix together thoroughly with your hands.

Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing. Snip off the tip of one corner of the bag to create a makeshift piping bag for even distribution of the cheese mixture.

Arrange a single layer of lasagna sheets at the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Cover the lasagna sheets with half of the meat and sauce mixture.

Pipe half of the cheese mixture over the meat and sauce layer. Tear some basil leaves into smaller pieces and sprinkle over the top.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
