Quick And Easy Refried Beans Recipe

Ingredients: – 2 cups cooked pinto bean – 2 tablespoons olive oil – 1 small onion, finely chopped – 2 cloves garlic, minced – 1 teaspoon ground cumin – 1/2 teaspoon chili powder – Salt to taste – 1/4 cup water (optional, for desired consistency)

Instructions: 1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. 2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent and garlic is fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.

Stir in ground cumin and chili powder, and cook for an additional minute to toast the spices. 

Add the cooked pinto beans to the skillet. Use a potato masher or the back of a spoon to mash the beans until they reach your desired consistency. 

If the mixture seems too thick, add water gradually until you achieve the desired consistency. 

Season with salt to taste, and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. 

Once the beans are heated through and well combined with the spices, remove from heat. Serve hot, garnished with fresh chopped cilantro if desired.
